Bio: Son of Mike and Jeannie, Blaze played three years of varsity lacrosse at Fairport where he was named All-American Player of the Year in 2012. A sectional all-tournament team selection, a first-team all-county selection and All-Greater Rochester Player of the Year, Blaze also helped the Red Raiders to a pair of sectional titles. As a freshman in 2013 Blaze started all 18 games for the University at Albany men’s lacrosse team. He posted the second most wins in program history in a single season (13) and finished the season with 199 saves and 206 goals against, good for a .491 save percentage and an 11.93 goals against average. Blaze recorded 13 saves against No. 13 Syracuse in his first collegiate game on February 17 and tallied a career-best 20 saves against Johns Hopkins on April 5. He recorded 10 or more saves on 11 different occasions and held his opponents to 10 goals or less 10 different times. For his season efforts Blaze was named to the 2013 America East All-Conference second-team as well as the All-Rookie team.
