Genesee Land Trust will host its annual backyard habitat tour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. around seven gardens in Brighton, Penfield, Fairport and Webster.

Attendees will learn how to attract and protect wildlife and how to cut down on mowing and weeding. Master gardeners will be there to answer any questions, and the featured Webster garden is on the lake, giving a panorama of Lake Ontario.

The tour is self-guided, and tickets will list the participating gardens’ addresses. Attendees will receive a book at the first stop of their choosing, which will serve as a more detailed guide to the following gardens. Tickets are $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers at the Genesee Land Trust office and through PayPal on the website, and nonmember tickets only are for sale at local Wegmans service desks.
