The Pittsford girls varsity golf team recently celebrated a perfect season at the team banquet at Locust Hill Country Club, 2000 Jefferson Road, Pittsford.
Team Captain Sydney Ball thanked Coach Joan LeRoy for her dedication to the team which has continued 17 years; and LeRoy reviewed highlights of the season.
The team received honors including league champions for the 17th consecutive year and a 14-0 undefeated season with 35 consecutive wins.
Sutherland junior Lena Kaufman was medalist in seven matches, won sectionals with a two-over-par 75 at the Oak Hill west course and earned the MVP distinction for the season.
Morgan Bronstein medaled three times, won the Tournament of Champions at Monroe Golf Club and was named Monroe County Player of the Year.
Kaufman, Bronstein, Ball and Emily Wilborn made the nine-player Section V State Team. Sophie Renzi will be an alternate.
Four players made All County Team No. 1 and three made All County Team No. 2. Sutherland senior Leah Montione was named most improved.
Ball was named Putting Princess for having the lowest putting average on the team. She also won the Ringer Award based on scorecards from practices and matches at the team's home course, Mendon Golf Club.
Kaufman was named Birdie Queen for carding 13 birdies — the most throughout the season.
The Team Sportsmanship honor went to Renzi who was also elected captain for next year.
