Farmington’s Cobblestone Arts Center Dayhab Without Walls program will host a sing-along at 10:45 a.m. Oct. 27 at Penfield Place Nursing Rehabilitation, 1700 Penfield Road.

Students in the program are accompanied by a Cobblestone music teacher, who provides printed lyrics to songs from the 1930s, ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s so the residents can follow along. The students help facilitate the sing-along by assisting the residents with tasks such as turning the pages and pointing out verses while they sing together.

Residents will hear brief lessons about the songs through lessons, trivia and history, and they are encouraged to share any information that they may know, as many of the songs are from popular musicals and movies.

The program visits various senior living facilities in the Rochester and surrounding areas to offer creative arts experiences, such as performances, sing-alongs, creative art classes and dance classes. For more information, visit
