The Pittsford S’Women recently placed first out of 20 teams at the Shenendehowa Girls Invitational meet. Lindsay Stone won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events and set a pool record in the 500-yard free with an All-American consideration time of 4:53.95. Stone is currently No. 1 in New York in both events.
Pittsford came in first or second place in nine out of 12 events at the meet.
The 200 medley relay team of Katie Mullin, Sarah Cooper, Megan Deuel and Sarah Smith had a first place win and season best time of 1:50.76. The 200 free relay team of Emma Corby, Becca Evans, Deuel and Stone improves each meet, and the 400-yard free relay team of Corby, Evans, Stone and Molly Brennan placed first by six seconds with a time of 3:32.85.
Evans won the 50 free with a time of 0:24.12 and second place in the 100 free.
Deuel placed first in the 100 fly with a time of 0:58.04 and second in the 100 back. Corby tied for second in the 100 fly.
The Pittsford S’Women completed the season undefeated and will compete for their 15th consecutive Section V Class A Swimming title with Coach Marty Keating Nov.3 and 5.
