Dmitri House, 102 N. Union St., Rochester, is seeking community volunteers and donations.
Dmitri House’s food cupboard supports more than 2,900 community members every year. It distributes more than 40,000 pounds of food, and its hot lunch program feeds more than 5,000 people every year. Its emergency men’s shelter provides more than 1,200 nights of shelter.
The Thanksgiving program provided over 130 families with a holiday meal this season. The Dmitri Affordable Safe Housing program has placed 43 formerly homeless people into safe, long-term housing.
Community members are asked to donate to Dmitri House, volunteer for days and evenings to keep the programs running and/or coordinate a holiday food drive with families, churches and businesses.
