HENRIETTA — After delays, construction can finally move forward on a new veteran’s health facility for the area.
Thursday, the Canandaigua VA was awarded a contract for a new outpatient clinic. It will be located at Marketplace Center by Route 390 and Calkins Road in Henrietta.
The new facility will be on a bus route and will include an outpatient surgical center. It's expected to be complete by the spring of 2019.
Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-Fairport, helped secure funding for the new VA center. She says it will help the more than 70,000 local veterans.
