Joshua Redfield has been missing since Dec. 8
SPENCERPOST — Joshua Redfield, 18, of Spencerport has been missing since Dec. 8, the day after he was last seen.
Police have been searching for him ever since. Aerial and ground searches have turned up nothing. While there have been tips, none have led them to him.
According to his mother, Jo Ann Pecora, he has always been up for anything — especially if it makes his loved ones smile.
"He's the kind [of kid], if you're cold he's going to give you your jacket," she says, "He's going to hold the door open for you."
It has been more than two weeks since Josh went missing without a trace. Pecora was hoping he would be home for Christmas, but her wish did not come true.
"We didn't know what to do with his gifts, his cards... it was hard," she says. "He was full of laughter, so it was hard not seeing him."
Jo Ann says that her son hasn't touched his money in the bank, and hasn't used his phone since he went missing either. According to her, waking up every day without knowing what happened to her son feels surreal.
For days, Josh's family and friends have been searching for him- putting up hundreds of flyers and visiting places Joshua usually goes to - but still no luck.
Last week, they set up a GoFundMe page to raise money at http://bit.ly/2ibw4ST. They intend to give a reward to anyone with information about where he is.
For his mother, though, there is only one wish before the year ends: "I just want to know that he's safe."
Redfield is described as standing 5-foot-7, weighing about 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater and blue jeans, carrying a blue and gray backpack. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
