The Opera Guild of Rochester will host its annual “Beat-the-Blahs” Haskell Rosenberg Memorial Series at 1 p.m. Sundays throughout January at Temple B’rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Ave., Rochester.

Opera lovers will gather to watch a DVD of an opera during the current Metropolitan Opera season.

The series will present Johann Strauss Jr.’s “Wiener Blut” and Franz Lehar’s “Der Zarewitsch” on Jan. 8, Antonin Dvorak’s “Rusalka” on Jan. 15, Gaetano Donizetti’s “La fille du regiment” on Jan. 22 and Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte” on Jan. 29.

Suggested donations for all four viewings are $32 for Guild donors and $36 for the general public. Individual operas cost $9 for donors and $10 general admission.
