Sheriff's deputies look for leads on missing 27-year-old West Bloomfield man
WEST BLOOMFIELD — Ontario County sheriff’s deputies are looking for leads in the search for a 27-year-old West Bloomfield man who they say has been missing for slightly more than a month.
Antonio Kirkland was last seen Nov. 30 on foot in the area of the Bloomfield Big M Market on Maple Avenue in the village of Bloomfield.
According to Lt. Brad Falkey, Kirkland had been dropped off at his place of employment to work the last day he was seen. At that time, Kirkland told his employer that he was going to the store to get something prior to starting his shift. However, Kirkland never returned to begin that shift, Falkey said.
Kirkland had not been working for this employer long, according to Falkey, who declined to name where the 27-year-old worked.
The sheriff’s office has been in regular contact with Kirkland’s family, with whom the missing man lived in West Bloomfield.
“They have not seen or heard from him for a period of time now,” Falkey said.
Falkey pointed out that based on conversations with members of the family, it is not unheard of for the 27-year-old to "shelter himself" and become hard to reach for contact. Tracking done by the sheriff's office suggests he may be in the area of Rochester.
Kirkland is 6-foot-1 and weights approximately 180 pounds, according to deputies. He has brown eyes and black hair and is described as having a light brown complexion. He was last seen wearing camouflage pants and a grey hoodie. He was in possession of two backpacks, deputies said.
