Entrepreneur Magazine and Culture IQ recently released its premier Top Company Culture list, and First American Equipment Finance ranked No. 14 among high-performance cultures with more than 100 employees in the U.S.
To develop the ranking, Entrepreneur surveyed employees across the company and other organizations to determine the employees’ perspective on culture. Employee feedback and comments were then scored based on an algorithm. The study measured 10 areas that are predictive of high-performing cultures, including collaboration, innovation, agility, communication, support, wellness, work environment, responsibility, performance focus and mission and value alignment.
“We are honored to be named a Top Company Culture by Entrepreneur and Culture IQ,” said Alan Sikora, CEO of First American Equipment Finance. “At First American, our colleagues genuinely respect and care about one another. We have great people working hard toward a shared vision. But we also know that to stay successful, we need to challenge one another to get better each and every day.”
The ranking went beyond perks and mantras to study the set of beliefs, behaviors and employee engagement across the organization.
“Culture is a reflection not only of the values of the leaders themselves, but the embracing and sharing of those ideals among all levels of staff,” according to the study.
A high-performance culture translates to positive business results for the company. In fiscal 2016, the company grew new business volume by 46 percent, which is the its fourth straight year of greater than 25 percent growth.
