Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich and town board members Brett Granville, Diana Christodaro and Andrew Conlon recently held a special dedication for The Street Machines Pavilion at Badgerow Park South on Latta Road.
Reilich and the board were joined by Street Machines of Rochester’s executive board and members as the sign was unveiled.
“From this point forward, the pavilion at Badgerow Park will be known as The Street Machines Pavilion,” Reilich said. “On behalf of the town board and I, thank you for showcasing our town to so many of the car enthusiasts and for providing this family friendly event for our residents as well.”
Street Machines of Rochester has hosted its annual car show for 40 years in the town of Greece. The annual outdoor auto show is held the second weekend of June each year.
This year had a record number of 500 cars on display, drawing people from the community and as far away as Canada and surrounding states to the town of Greece. Visitors take advantage of the town’s restaurants, shops and hotels.
Proceeds from this event are donated to groups and services within the community, such as Greece Parks and Recreation and Greece Volunteer Ambulance.
Badgerow Park South has been home to the show every year, and Reilich and the town board wanted to recognize Street Machines of Rochester’s support of the community and acknowledge its 40 years of hosting the show in Greece by dedicating a pavilion in its name.
