Buttonwood Golf Club hosted the second of two Rochester District Golf Association Pee Wee Classic events this season in Spencerport.
The 2017 RDGA Pee Wee Classics include competition for boys and girls, ages 7-11. The format featured nine holes of stroke play on the back nine — the first Pee Wee Classic, held July 7, featured play on the front nine at Buttonwood.
In the day two competition, Julia Zigrossi from Ridgemont Country Club posted the low score of the day, an even-par 31 — four holes on Buttonwood’s back nine were configured as par-4 holes. Zigrossi — the defending RDGA Girls Pee Wee Champion — won first place in the girls’ division and was also the overall medalist for the day. Marisa Eichas was second with a 48.
Noah Barravecchia, the defending RDGA Pee Wee champion, posted a 2-over-par 33 to win first place in the boys’ division. Tyler Stark from the RDGA eClub was second with a score of 36.
