Webster Central School District recently hired two assistant principals at State Road and Klem Road North elementary schools.
The positions went to Lucia Kaempffe at State Road and Denise Lemcke at Klem Road North, pending approval by the board of education.
Kaempffe previously served as assistant principal at Schlegel Road Elementary School in 2003-09. She most recently worked as a school designer with EL Education, which allowed her to collaborate with teachers, students, school leaders and leadership teams in using data and progress monitoring systems to improve school culture and student achievement.
She has more than a decade of experience as an elementary school teacher, and served as an adjunct professor at Nazareth College.
Kaempffe received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and master’s degree from Nazareth College. She earned her administration certification from The College at Brockport and an advanced studies certification in creativity from Buffalo State.
She replaces Debra Young, who retired from WCSD.
Lemcke spent the last two years at Penfield CSD as a K-6 humanities teacher on special assignment, providing leadership in curriculum development and implementation and professional development opportunities for her colleagues. She was a PCSD elementary teacher for nine years, and taught kindergarten and first grade at Victor CSD and Guilderland CSD.
She received her undergraduate degree and master’s degree in education from SUNY Geneseo and her educational administration certification from University of Rochester.
