Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester recently received $1.88 million in state funding to expand crisis stabilization and addiction services in Monroe County.
Expansion will include a 27/7 phone triage available to all community providers, further development of mobile crisis services and additional crisis beds for patients who require short-term transitional care.
The funding stems from $21.8 million in state grants to improve services and facilities for patients at four hospitals associated with UR Medicine: Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville and St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell.
The Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation program supports projects that are part of an overall plan to create financially sustainable systems of care.
