The Finger Lakes Visitors Connection releases the "#FLX Trip Ideas" visitors guide.
CANANDAIGUA — Finger Lakes Visitors Connection has released “#FLX Trip Ideas,” the official visitors guide for Ontario County.
The free, 48-page booklet with maps, inserts and community profiles inspires visitors and residents to engage in activities and experiences throughout Ontario County.
This is the first county visitor guide to share user-generated content in the form of the best reviews from popular travel social media platforms such as TripAdvisor. The title, “#FLX Trip Ideas,” inspires travelers to continue sharing on social media using the hashtags #FLX and #FLXperience.
Special inclusions are made for tips only a local might know, like scenic locations, links to wedding resources and local festival information.
“#FLX Trip Ideas” also presents information in four popular themes often requested by visitors: foodies, outdoor adventurists, cultural aficionados and wellness seekers.
“#FLX Trip Ideas” includes a section called “Meet the Tastemakers!” in which readers learn more about the faces behind iconic Ontario County tourism assets and the stories of nine local tourism business owners.
“We are in the business of storytelling,” said Visitors Connection President Valerie Knoblauch. “We tell the story of Ontario County, the stories of these FLX Tastemakers, and invite visitors to be a part of that story by experiencing our communities.”
