Geva Theatre Center, 75 Woodbury Blvd., Rochester, will hold auditions for its production of “A Christmas Carol” from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 and 3 to 7 p.m. Sept. 15.
Callbacks will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 16. There are eight children’s roles available, and two casts will alternate performances.
Geva’s adaptation of the Charles Dickens’ novel premiered in 2010 with a script by artistic director Mark Cuddy and music by Gregg Coffin. Performances are scheduled for Nov. 22-Dec. 24, with rehearsals starting Nov. 4.
Actors must be ages 5-13, and not turn 14 until after Dec. 24. Auditionees need to bring a headshot or photograph to leave with the director, and be prepared to sing one verse of a prepared song with sheet music or “Happy Birthday.” Auditions are by appointment only.
