Angels of Mercy announced it raised more than $10,000 during its fifth annual walk/run event held Aug. 27 at Meridian Center Park.
The event, which aims to raise awareness of and prevent human sex trafficking, brought 250 participants from Monroe and surrounding counties. Among the attendees were County Executive Cheryl DiNolfo and Irondequoit Chief of Police Richard Tantalo. Irondequoit Rotarian Dominick Fantauzzo was in attendance and raised $735 through sponsorship from fellow Rotarians. Event proceeds help cover the Angels of Mercy’s operating and programs costs.
Founded in 2007, the Angels of Mercy serves women who are in crisis and experienced
