East Irondequoit Central School District students recently went back to school for the 2017-18 academic year.
Grades 1-12 started school the day before kindergarten and prekindergarten students. The new school year also meant the first day for the district’s new principals.
After serving as an assistant principal at East Irondequoit Middle School for 11 years, Tim Roach has moved into the top spot at Durand-Eastman Elementary School.
On the north side of the district, Tera Strauss has taken over the reins at Ivan Green Primary School. She comes to the position after spending the last five years as assistant principal at the Bird/Morgan School with Monroe No. 1 Board of Cooperative Educational Services.
