Webster Public Library, 980 Ridge Road, is encouraging residents to register for a library card throughout September, known as Library Card Sign-up Month.
Library cards allow residents to borrow newly released book titles, music and DVDs.
Other benefits include museum discounts; access to Consumer Reports online, Kindle Fire tablets preloaded with titles from the New York Times’ best sellers list and Playaway devices; free e-book and digital audiobook downloads; the library’s Pronunciator database; book discussion kits; and the ability to request books from all branches in the Monroe County Library System.
Monroe County residents can sign up for a card without fees or a waiting period. Bring a driver’s license or an official document with a name and address to the checkout desk.
