Hochstein’s Philharmonia and Sinfonia orchestral ensembles will perform a free fall concert at 7 p.m. on Oct. 29 in Hochstein Performance Hall, 50 N. Plymouth Ave., Rochester.
Sinfonia will perform an arrangement of “Simple Gifts” as well as Silva’s “The Evil Eye and the Hideous Heart,” inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart.” Sinfonia features students in grades 4-9.
Philharmonia will take the stage for the overture to Verdi’s “Nabucco”; Monti’s “Czardas,” inspired by a Hungarian folk dance; and the overture to Strauss’s “Die Fledermaus.” Philharmonia is open to grades 6-11.
