The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
Dressed in signature red, white and black performance-wear — men in tuxedos, ladies in fancy dresses and sparkles — the Traveling Cabaret will open the “Go Pink” festivities at 2 p.m., with a fast-paced Broadway musical revue including songs from the ‘20s through the ‘60s, with added costuming, props and just plain fun.
The day also includes a silent auction at 3 p.m., with great prizes that include a vast variety of gift cards, restaurant certificates and more awarded to lucky winners. The event will close at 4 p.m.
Performing community service efforts, 12 months of the year, the Traveling Cabaret is a 27-year-old not-for-profit, volunteer troupe that recently marked its milestone 500th show. The troupe performs year-round throughout the Greater Rochester area and surrounding communities, entertaining for both private and public events. The Traveling Cabaret has been awarded 31 grants recognizing its contributing to the quality of life in the community.
Along with the entertainment, as a special treat, Legacy At Clover Blossom resident Doug Pritchard will be “baking-up-a-storm” and offering his delicious homemade cookies for purchase. He is donating all proceeds from the sale of his cookies to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.
Free refreshments will be served to all in attendance.
