French Road Elementary School teachers painted kindness rocks on Superintendent’s Conference Day in October.
The rocks, which feature positive messages, were hidden around the Brighton community by FRES music teacher Lori Isham and some Brighton students. “French Road Elementary School Rocks Kindness” is written on the back of every rock.
The idea came from The Kindness Rocks Project. The goals of the project are to inspire others through randomly placed rocks and to recruit those who stumble upon the rocks to join in the pursuit of inspiring others through random acts of kindness.
Those who find a rock are encouraged to post the photo on social media using the hashtag, #fresrockskindness.
