New York Spirits: Ghostly Tales of Famous New York Haunted Places: 4 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 3. Cris Johnson will bring a collection of ghostly and unusual artifacts and will try to initiate contact with spirits. No registration required.
Historical Fiction Book Discussion — second half of “Fall of Giants” by Ken Follett: 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 and 2 to 3 p.m. on Nov. 16. The group meets twice a month. No registration required.

Joyful Writing: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 6, 13 and 20. A workshop on the writing process taught by a diverse group of people. Through a mixture of discussion and writing activities, participants will have the opportunity to find out what works for others and what works for them. All levels of experience are welcome.
