Agneta Borgstedt recently passed on her role as president of Opera Guild of Rochester after 17 years to board member Carol Crocca.
Borgstedt, 86, will continue her work with the Guild as treasurer and chairman of the traditional events committee.
Crocca, of Penfield, agreed to serve in her new role after being nominated and elected.
Crocca joined the Guild in 2007, first as a lecturer and then as a board member. She served on the executive committee and as vice president of development, and will continue to serve the Guild as editor of the newsletter and docent.
The former attorney is a chorus member at Oasis. She previously volunteered with AFS, an international exchange student organization, and Planned Parenthood’s Rape Crisis Service.
“I very much look forward to working with the board to support our current endeavors, and to broaden our involvement in the vibrant Rochester music community,” Crocca said. “If you haven’t yet, please consider donating or volunteering for the Guild as we explore new territory and find inspiration in our love for opera.”
