The Webster Art Club 2017 fall art show is being held at the Webster Public Library, 980 Ridge Road, through Nov. 30.
This fall show presents the artwork of current members of the Webster Art Club. The art can be viewed during library hours. Selected paintings may be purchased by contacting the individual artist.
Artwork displayed include oil, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, pastel, colored pencil, graphite and mixed media.
This year’s judge was artist and Webster Thomas High School art teacher Todd Stahl. The opening reception/awards presentation was held, along with the judge’s critique, on Nov. 4.
Best of Show was awarded to Christy Vitale, “Cup of Tea.” The Creativity Award was presented to Donna Smith, “Delightful Desert.”
Juror awards were given to Jean Swendsen Bileschi, “Light Bulbs”; Peg Dietl, “Geneva Fishing Spot”; Marti Lynch Erhardt, “30 Mile Point Light”; Lindsay Hall, “Kennebunkport Beach”; Stephen Sidare, “High Tide”; and Sara Walczak, “Spring Fling.”
Merit awards were given to Jean Swendsen Bileschi, “Shadow Buddies”; Mary Coy, “Sun Spot”; Adelina Bravo, “Andean Woman”; Marianne Ferrara, “Tranquility”; Anne Sakmyster, “Town in Southern France” and Donna Smith, “Let’s Walk.”
