Charlie Young, certified public accountant and supervisor in EFPR Group’s Tax and Business Services Department, recently received American Society of Tax Problem Solver’s Top Practitioner Award.
This award is presented to ASTPS members who work in tax problem resolution and demonstrate a dedication to ASTPS principles. Top practitioners work to enhance the accounting industry’s image, and maintain their skills through continuing professional education. They demonstrate a willingness to assist colleagues and taxpayer, intellectual curiosity and creativity in solving IRS problems, professional and ethical integrity, ardent client advocacy and dedication to doing what is right. They inspire and motivate by action and example.

Young joined EFPR Group in 1996. His experience includes individual, business and nonprofit taxation as well as trust and estate planning. He is experienced in tax problem resolution related to federal and state tax issues, and helps clients resolve serious tax problems.
Having successfully completed National Tax Practice Institute’s three-year training program, he is an NTPI fellow and a certified tax resolution specialist. Young serves as a town justice, and is an active member of Wayne County Magistrates Association. He graduated with a master’s degree in accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology.
