St. Louis Church in Pittsford, 60 S. Main St., will lead an areawide fundraiser supporting the effective efforts of the Rev. Rick Frechette, priest and physician at St. Damien Pediatric Hospital, Haiti's only children's hospital with its multifaceted outreaches free to the indigent.

In the 36th annual Ornament Sale, gifts are offered at a donation of $8 each that not only helps Haiti, but also those who hand-make the 2,300 unique ornaments. This years offerings are ceramic angel and a wood cross made gift-giving ready in a gift box with card included at Holy Childhood.

Holy Childhood — where developmentally challenged Rochesterians learn to become productive members of the workforce — handcrafts the ceramic angels — embellished with 14 karat gold stars.

Rochester teenagers at St. Michael's Woodshop create wood crosses. The Woodshop is a 50-year-old effort to help inner city Rochester teens learn the marketable skill of woodworking while being mentored in life skills.

The all occasion gifts are called “Gifts of Love” and are available now in display baskets until New Years Day, Jan. 1, 2018, in Pittsford at St. Louis Ministry Center, Pittsford Dairy, Make Waves, One World Goods, Chandelier Boutique, Pittsford Florist and Pittsford Canandaigua National Bank; in Rochester at Parkleigh, The Pendleton Shop, Wisteria, The Creator's Hands, Sayari, Canandaigua National Banks at Henrietta and Brighton and at Sacred Heart; in Fairport at Lu's Back Door, Lombardi's Gourmet Imports; in Webster at Hegedorn Market, Warren Decorating Center, Goodie Shoppe, Danwin Pharmacy, Barry's Old Irish Pub, in the church offices of St. Rita's, St. Paul, Holy Spirit, and Holy Trinity; in Greece at Rockcastle Florist; in Mendon at Canandaigua National Bank; and in Canandaigua at Edelweiss Properties, Realtors.
