The Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Ontario County will offer the training as part of a Community Cafe on "Substance Abuse and Athletics" at the Pinnacle Athletic Center in Victor.
Free training in the use of Narcan will be offered from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the Pinnacle Athletic Center, 7600 Pinnacle Road, by the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Ontario County.
Narcan is a brand name for naloxone, a medication that almost instantly reverses the effects of an opioid overdose.
The topic of the Community Cafe, featuring Clarke Brown of Brownstone Physical Therapy, is “Substance Abuse and Athletics.” Parents, neighbors and community members are encouraged to join in the conversation on issues associated with heroin and substance abuse in the community.
