We are all moved back in to the newly renovated Webster Town Hall. On Thursday, Nov. 30 and Friday, Dec. 1, the Webster Town Hall was closed for services as we moved from our temporary location back in to our newly renovated Town Hall. As you know, the Town Hall building had been closed since April while we completed extensive renovations to the building that was built back in 1956.
The renovations included enlarging the restrooms, enhancing security inside the building during working hours, adding a lunch room for employees, upgrading the facilities inside the police department, enlarging the building department, assessment and finance areas, upgrading the interior of the building and taking out the asbestos left in the building.
While we are back at the Town Hall building and have resumed regular business hours, we ask for your continued patience as we all try to get accustomed to our new surroundings. We also still have minor maintenance we still need to do like hanging pictures, signage, some clean-up outside, some IT work still needs to be done, and other little details.
In May 2018, the town is planning to have an open house of all of our town facilities. This will give our residents the opportunity to see the current upgrades at the Town Hall and Justice Court buildings, along with being able to explore our first rate library, recreation building, our new parks building, the highway department and sewer department, along with the equipment staffed by our top notch first responders.
As always, if you have any questions about your town government, please feel free to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at supervisor@ci.webster.ny.us.
