Mitten Drive: through Jan. 12. Join the library in collecting mittens, gloves and hats for children ages 6 weeks-12 years at the Lewis Street YMCA Child Care Center.
Amerks Reading Power Play with the Moose: 6:30 p.m. Jan. 4. For all ages and families. A member of the Amerks and the team’s mascot, the Moose, will share a story, give an equipment demonstration and have an autograph session.
Toddler Time: 10 a.m. Jan. 8. For ages 2-3 with an adult. Drop in for stories, songs and a craft.
Tail Waggin’ Tutors: 4 to 5 p.m. Jan. 8. For ages 12 and younger. Read to a therapy dog. This is a great opportunity for children who are learning to read and emerging readers.
Monday Minecraft Madness: 6 p.m. Jan. 8. For all ages. Bring in a tablet and Minecraft knowledge. Some computers will be available.
Preschool Pals: 10 a.m. Jan. 9. For ages 4-5. Enjoy stories, songs and a craft.

Make-a-Story Room Open Hours: 2 to 3 p.m. Jan. 9. For all ages. The room is filled with STEAM-related gadgets and activities. Test out robots, coding games, a 3-D printer and a sewing machine. Open hours held from 2 to 3 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays and from 6 to 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays.
