RAPA Family Theatre will kick off 2018 with “The Gingerbread Man” on Feb. 3-11 at Kodak Center Studio Theatre, 200 W. Ridge Road, Rochester.
Sally is unhappy about staying on her aunt and uncle’s farm while her parents are on vacation. Her aunt makes a gingerbread cookie to cheer her up, which promptly leaps out of the oven and takes Sally on an adventure to see traveling players perform in a nearby town. Along the way, the duo encounter a karate-kicking donkey, a fashionable skunk and a sly fox who tries to put the bite on the gingerbread man.

Ekberg recently performed in “A Year with Frog and Toad,” “Rumpelstiltskin” and “Charlotte’s Web.” Katherine Mary Chalone stars as Sally. She recently appeared in “Hansel and Gretel,” “James and the Giant Peach” and “Mary Poppins.” Rounding out the cast are Rebecca Chalone, Billy DeMetsenaere, Austin Scott and Tricia Yoder.
