Country Dancers of Rochester recently held its Turning of the Year Ball at First Baptist Church of Rochester.
Over 40 guests enjoyed English country dancing in the festively decorated Hubbard Hall. Tim Ball, of Ithaca, and Jane Knoeck, of Rochester, provided live music on violin and piano. The dances were called by David Smukler, of Syracuse.
Guests of all experience levels no partner was needed. Dressy attire was seen, but not required. Attendees enjoyed refreshments and food that were served in a nonalcoholic creative venue. Door prizes were available.
The event saw guests of all ages and genders as they danced in fellowship. The Turning of the Year Ball was a team effort coordinated by Chris Cassidy and volunteers.
