Soldier promoted to brigadier general in U.S. Army National Guard
Mark Schindler, the son of Norm and Gerry Schindler, of Hamlin, recently was promoted to the rank of brigadier general in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Schindler currently serves as the assistant adjutant general army with Pennsylvania Joint Forces Headquarters in Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. He has served in the military for 30 years.
He is the husband of Colette Schindler, of Annville, Pennsylvania, and the son-in-law of George and Carolyn Seymour, of Sheffield, Pennsylvania. Schindler graduated in 1983 from West Senior High School in West Seneca. He holds a master’s degree from U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
HR Works promotes Spencerport resident
Jillian Gillette, of Spencerport, recently was promoted to senior affirmative action project manager at HR Works Inc. in Fairport.
Gillette will continue to leverage her years of experience in human resources and expertise as a project manager in the affirmative action services department by assisting clients with affirmative action compliance, helping them navigate U.S. Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs audits and presenting trainings.
She received a bachelor’s degree in sociology with minors in business administration and mathematics from The College at Brockport.
Greece resident joins ADMAR
Brittany Vess, of Greece, recently joined ADMAR as an accounts receivable specialist in its Rochester office.
Vess will handle accounts receivable cash deposits, maintain the cash file and petty cash box, review daily invoicing and make daily bank deposits for the Brighton-based construction equipment rental and sales company. She will be responsible for posting payments, and will start and post daily shutdowns.
Vess has six years of experience in the finance industry. She joins the team from Regus Management Group, where she served as the area manager responsible for accounts receivable, customer service, sales and operations management.
