Rescue Pit, a local nonprofit dog rescue, will host its third annual gala at 6 p.m. on Jan. 27 at Rochester Museum and Science Center, 657 East Ave.
The event will feature a buffet dinner, drinks, dancing and a silent auction. Founders Stephen DeVay and John Cicolella will review of the organization’s third year of operation, celebrate its work and announce plans for 2018.
Rescue Pit launched its Force-Free Pledge in 2017 to advocate for positive reinforcement training methods. The rescue teamed with Willow Domestic Violence Center to ensure sanctuary for domestic violence survivors and their pets. Rescue Pit saved two litters of puppies, multiple adolescent dogs and secured homes for 26 dogs in 2017.
Tickets cost $75. Proceeds will benefit local dogs. Visit rescuepit.org/gala for information.
