Thirteen students competed in the 29th annual Dake Geography Bee on Dec. 7.
Finalists were seventh-graders Charlie Bohrer, Sophia Buchman, Kendall Hartung, Mary Massoth, Elise Steele and Sophia Tobin; and eighth-graders Jacob Kingsley and John Vida.
Third-place winner was Megan Bondi, eighth grade. Second-place winner was Matt Krzywda, eighth grade. School champion was seventh-grader Michael Wood.
Michael will take an exam to see if he will be selected for the New York State Final Competition in Albany.
