Rochester Area Vegan Society will host Antonia Demas as she presents “Why We Need to Make Food Literacy an Educational and Health Priority” at 7 p.m. on Feb. 18 at Brighton Town Park Lodge, 777 Westfall Road, Rochester.
Demas serves as president of Food Studies Institute. She is a visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health as well as a clinical assistant professor at University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford, Illinois.
Dinner is a vegan potluck at 5:30 p.m. Bring a dish to serve a crowd, a serving utensil and a place setting. Admission is free for RAVS members, or $3 for the general public.
