Brockport

Sophie Carpenter, of Brockport, recently received a $30,000 Presidential Scholarship to attend Alfred State. Carpenter was accepted into the forensic science technology program. She is slated to graduate from Brockport High School in 2018.

Taylor Sweeney, of Brockport, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. To be eligible, students must complete at least 12 credits and earn a minimum 3.5 semester GPA.

Churchville

Kendall Skuse, of Churchville, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Buffalo State. Skuse studies speech language pathology, and is a member of the lacrosse team. She graduated from Churchville-Chili Senior High School.

Gates

Canei Cotton, of Gates, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Genesee Community College in Batavia. To be eligible, students must earn a 3.5-3.74 quality point index.

Hilton

Alyssa Smith, of Hilton, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. To be eligible, students must receive a minimum 3.6 GPA for at least seven graded hours in one semester. Smith majors in French and history.

Kyndal Hetzel, of Hilton, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Buffalo State. To be eligible, students must complete at least 12 credit hours and earn a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Alexa Kelly, of Hilton, were named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. To be eligible, students must complete at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.6 semester quality point average.

Susan Boula, of Hilton, was named to the fall 2017 president’s list at Genesee Community College in Batavia. To be eligible, full-time students must earn a minimum 3.7 quality point index.

Jacob Christopher and Sara Wilmot, of Hilton, were named to the fall 2017 provost’s list at Genesee Community College in Batavia. To be eligible, part-time students must earn a minimum 3.75 quality point index.

Jessica Douglass, Sarah Fryer and Stephanie Klejment, of Hilton, were named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Genesee Community College in Batavia. To be eligible, students must earn a 3.5-3.74 quality point index.

Alana Collins, of Hilton, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Monroe Community College in Rochester. To be eligible, students must complete at least six credit hours and earn a minimum 3.5 GPA. Collins majors in health studies, and plans to pursue a degree in nursing.

Kayla Rissew, of Hilton, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Siena College in Loudonville. To be eligible, students must earn a 3.5-3.89 semester GPA.

North Chili

Ashley Barclay and Christian Delano, of North Chili, were named to the fall 2017 president’s list at Genesee Community College in Batavia. To be eligible, full-time students must earn a minimum 3.7 quality point index.

Amy Dieffenbacher, of North Chili, was named to the fall 2017 provost’s list at Genesee Community College in Batavia. To be eligible, part-time students must earn a minimum 3.75 quality point index.

Michele Kuhlmann, of North Chili, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Genesee Community College in Batavia. To be eligible, students must earn a 3.5-3.74 quality point index.

Emily MacDonald, of North Chili, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. To be eligible, students must earn a minimum 3.0 GPA and rank in the top 20 percent of their class. MacDonald majors in biology.

Rochester

Molly Alessi, Jacob Dedie and Jenna Mahns, of Rochester, recently received scholarships to attend Alfred State. Alessi received a $15,000 Presidential Scholarship to study in the diagnostic medical sonography program. Dedie earned a $2,000 Academic Distinction Scholarship, and was accepted into the building trades: building construction program. Mahns received a $19,000 All-American Scholarship to participate in the forensic science technology program.

Scottsville

Tyler Ronnenberg, of Scottsville, recently had a musical composition, “Komplete Kaos,” published in “Baily’s Beads,” a student literary magazine at University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Ronnenberg is a sophomore environmental studies major.

Spencerport

Alan Johnson, of Spencerport, recently received a $4,000 Academic Distinction Scholarship to attend Alfred State. Johnson was accepted into the medical engineering technology program. He is slated to graduate from Allendale Columbia School in 2018.

Victoria Penders, of Spencerport, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. To be eligible, students must complete at least 12 credits and earn a minimum 3.5 semester GPA.
