OFC Creations and the Out Alliance — formerly the Gay Alliance — will present Miss Richfield 1981 for the first time in Rochester from April 6-7.
Miss Richfield will be presenting her new show, “Born Again,” at 8 p.m. on April 6-7 at the Kodak Center Studio Theatre, 200 W. Ridge Road.
Miss Richfield is “Born Again,” finding new religion to bring the world together. With new songs, videos and unique audience activities, Miss Richfield brings all faiths together in a stage show.
Miss Richfield’s flair comes from a combination of Midwestern sensibilities with an off-the-page humor, stemming from her creator Russ King. A former journalist and Minnesota native, King created the character with a rich history that begins with her life-long goal of being crowned beauty queen of her first-ring suburb of Minneapolis.
The show will also act as OFC’s annual fundraiser for Broadway Cares: Equity Fights Aids. Raffle tickets for select Broadway memorabilia will be available before the show. Winners will be drawn after the show during the Miss Richfield meet and greet. Students from RAPA’s School for Performing Arts will also be available in the lobby after the show to accept additional cash donations.
Tickets are available at RapaTheatre.org and start at $35, $45 prime seating and $60 VIP seating. VIPs receive premium front seating, post-show meet and greet priority, as well as an autographed Miss Richfield 1981 potholder.
