Deputies say 20-year-old Amari Linzy-Richardson of Lyons hit and injured a woman while backing out of a driveway on Saurer Farms Drive in Victor on Monday night. Linzy-Richardson is now facing multiple charges including leaving the scene of a personal injury crash.
A Lyons woman has been arrested after deputies say she backed into a pedestrian and then fled the scene of a personal-injury accident.
Deputies say 20-year-old Amari Linzy-Richardson of Lyons hit a 55-year-old woman while backing out of a driveway on Saurer Farms Drive in Victor on Monday around 9 p.m.
The pedestrian that was struck was hospitalized with a broken shoulder and other minor injuries. It is not clear if Linzy-Richardson knew the woman who was hit.
Linzy-Richardson and her vehicle were later located at the Best Western motel in Victor during Tuesday's early morning hours.
Linzy-Richardson was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. She is being held in the Ontario County Jail awaiting arraignment and will appear in Victor Town Court at a later time to answer the charges.
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing.
