State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb of Canandaigua is endorsing Marc Molinaro’s campaign for New York State governor.

Molinaro is the Dutchess County Executive.

He's seeking the Republican nomination in hopes of unseating Governor Andrew Cuomo.

The 42-year-old is considered the chief GOP rival to frontrunner and State Senator John DeFrancisco.

A month ago, Kolb abruptly dropped out of the race for governor.

He said that Molinaro is "everything Albany needs."
