The Sweden mother accused of murdering her 7-year-old son last week has been indicted by a Monroe County grand jury.
Hanane Mouhib is accused of stabbing and decapitating Abraham Cardenas with a large kitchen knife inside their home last Thursday.
Mouhib was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, but that has been waived following the indictment. She has been indicted on at least one felony charge in connection with the death of Abraham.
Mouhib called 911 twice in March complaining of mental health problems and that she was in the hospital from March 8 through March 26.
The county says it is illegal to reveal CPS cases, but a day after Abraham's murder, the County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo ordered a preliminary review to see if the county had any involvement with his family. And because of that review and advice from the state, Dinolfo has now ordered a full investigation of what role, if any, the county played.
Mouhib is being held in Monroe County jail without bail.
