The family of a man killed at a racetrack in Canandaigua is now saying they were forced to settle with former NASCAR driver Tony Stewart.

Kevin Ward Jr., 20, was killed after Stewart struck him during a race at Canandaigua Motor Sports Park back in 2014.

Pamela Ward told USA Today that her lawyers threatened to quit the wrongful death case if the family didn't take Stewart's offer. She says the family scrambled to look for other lawyers to take up the case but was unable to.

Officials from the law firm denied the claims.

No other information was released on the settlement.
