Adult programs
Lunchtime Book Discussion — The Underground Railroad: noon to 1:30 p.m. on April 19. Join to read and discuss an award-winning or classic book. Attendees can bring their lunch and eat as the group discusses this month’s title, “The Underground Railroad” by Colson Whitehead. Books will be available to check out at the Circulation Desk the month before the discussion. Next months’ title will be “The Black Echo” by Michael Connelly.
Midge’s Tatters! Tatting Demonstration: 10 a.m. to noon on April 20. Midge’s Tatters invites all to come learn about tatting for today. You may remember your grandmother or mother tatting edges for hankies. pillowcases or doilies. Tatting is used for hankies, pillowcases or doilies, as well as jewelry, clothing, decorations and card making. A brief history of tatting, demonstration and discussion new techniques, as well as examples will be provided.
Book Sale: The Spring Book Sale sponsored by the Friends of the Webster Public Library will be held from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on April 26; from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 27, fill a bag for $4; from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 28. Hardcover books will be $1 each Paperbacks will be 50 cents. Credit cards are accepted. All the books are new to the sale, no repeat stock. Books, DVDs, Blu-ray, music CDs and LPs available for adults, teens and children.

Stories for Wee Ones: 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. on Mondays. For ages 2 and younger.
Stories and Songs for 2-5-year-olds: 1 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Stories and Songs for All Ages: 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursdays.
Thursday Night is Family Night!: 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays. All ages. Stop in any Thursday evening for a variety of activities the entire family will enjoy. Check the program calendar to see what the day’s activity will be.
PJ Storytime: 7 to 7:30 p.m. on April 16. Songs, stories and rhymes for the entire family. Wear pajamas. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.
Discovery Morning: 10:30 a.m. to noon on April 17. Babies and toddlers birth to 3 years are invited to come play at the library. The group will start the morning with parachute play and then children and their caregivers are free to enjoy fun games and activities that delight young children and encourage early literacy. No registration required.
Saturday Stories for Wee Ones: 10:30 to 11 a.m. on April 21. Interact with a baby, 2 years and younger, through songs, rhymes and books. Fifteen minutes of structured time will be followed by time for babies and caregivers to play and socialize. No registration required.
Pokemon Club: 6:30 to 8 p.m. on April 23. Trade cards with and compete against other Pokemon fans. All ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Homeschool Hour: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 24. Come hang out in the storytime room at WPL with other homeschoolers. The library will have crafts, games, Legos and K’NEX for the kids; and it’s a great opportunity for networking for parents. No registration required.
Spring Craft Drop-In: 11 a.m. to noon on May 1. Stop by the library to make a variety of spring-inspired crafts. No registration necessary.
