Rochester

Rachel Brightman, of Rochester, was named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. To be eligible, students must complete at least 12 credit hours and earn a minimum 3.4 GPA.

Abijah Adams, Nathaniel Adams Jr., Tadaizah Cannon, Immanuel Daniel, Chabre Potter and Remone Williams, of Rochester, recently were honored at the Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program Honors Convocation at Buffalo State. The convocation honored students who achieved a 3.0 GPA during the spring or fall 2017 semester, as well as students who have a cumulative 3.0 GPA through 2017.

Luke Quigley, of Rochester, recently was initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, an all-discipline collegiate honor society, through its chapter at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Lindsay Canon, Kimberly Falco, Danielle Meeker, Joanna Parker and Gina Sacino, of Rochester, recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, an all-discipline collegiate honor society, at Nazareth College in Rochester.

Chelsea Lebeck, of Rochester, recently received a President’s Civic Engagement Award at Nazareth College in Rochester. The annual award honors students who go above and beyond the call to service, and are dedicated to improving the community.

Marielle Buss, of Rochester, presented original research during the 2018 Student Symposium at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. Buss presented “The Effect of Coriander Extract on the Replication of T2 Bacteriophage.”

Stephanie Facchine, of Rochester, received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for student excellence during the 2018 honors convocation at SUNY Oswego. Facchine is a senior zoology major.
