The Rochester teen accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend last week is due in court Wednesday.

Jermaine Brown, 17, is the person the victim's family believed all along was responsible for the murder of 18-year-old Ciara Grimes.

Brown will be arraigned on three charges -- second-degree manslaughter, felony aggravated criminal contempt and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is charged with criminal contempt because he allegedly violated a court order issued on May 5, just four days before the shooting, that required him to stay away from Grimes.

He's accused of shooting and killing Grimes on May 9 with a .25 caliber pistol. Brown and Grimes were both at a friend's house on Delamaine Drive. Officers say Brown shot Grimes inside the home, dragged her outside, and left her body in the driveway.

Police are not releasing details as to exactly what happened.

They had been dating for some time, but the victim's family says that relationship was abusive. They also said Grimes just found out she was pregnant.

Grimes' mother believes there was a fight, she was hit with the gun, and that's when the gun went off.

Brown's hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Rochester City Court.
