Ontario County sheriff's and fire investigators located and identified a second fire victim, Marian Fleischmann, 94, inside what remained of her residence at 7379 County Road 36 in Naples. Her body was found at approximately 1:45 p.m. today in the basement where the area near her bedroom collapsed because of a fire early Tuesday morning.

Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says firefighters are still extinguishing areas of the house that are still burning at 7379 County Road 36 in the town of Naples.

Investigators located the body of 64-year-old Michael Schenk inside the home. The homeowner, 94-year-old Mariam Fleischmann, was found and identified at approximately 1:45 p.m. today.

Her body was discovered in the basement where the area near her bedroom collapsed because of the fire.

A passing motorist saw the flames coming from 7379 County Road 36 in the town of Naples and called 911 early Tuesday morning. The home was totally engulfed in flames when police and fire arrived on the scene.

Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says the home is owned by 94-year-old Mariam Fleischmann. The homeowner rented a room in her home to 64-year-old Michael Schenk. Schenk’s body has been located inside the home.

Firefighters continue to extinguish areas of the structure still burning. Heavy equipment has been brought to the scene to assist in removing debris as part of the overall investigation.

Sheriff’s investigators along with investigators from the New York State Homeland Security and Emergency Service are continuing their cause and origin of this deadly fire.

A passing motorist reported the fire at 3:57 a.m. on Tuesday.

Two people are presumed dead following a house fire in Ontario County Tuesday morning, according to a family member.

The fire started at a home on County Road 36 in Naples around 4 a.m.

A family member told our news partner, News10NBC that an elderly woman who owned the home and another person who lived in the home are presumed dead.

Heavy plumes of smoke could be seen coming from the ranch-style home.

The identities of the presumed victims have not yet been released.
