Senate Democrats are demanding lower gas prices, and are blaming President Trump for the rise in oil prices.

According to a recent Lundberg survey, the average price reached three dollars per gallon nationally for regular grade, up more than nine cents since May 4.

Senator Chuck Schumer and other Democrats Wednesday blamed rising prices on President Trump's decision to pull out of the Iran Nuclear Deal, which some experts say has led to an increase in crude oil prices.

"According to energy analysts and experts President Trump's reckless decision to pull out of the Iran deal has led to higher oil prices. These higher oil prices are translating directly to soaring gas prices something we know disproportionately hurts middle and lower income people," explained New York Senator Chuck Schumer.

They are also calling on President Trump to tell U.S. oil companies to stop raising prices.
