Plenty of lottery tickets were sold in new York in 2017, $6.4 billion worth to be exact. 

That's how much grocery stores, mini-marts and gas stations sold in tickets for the New York State Lottery last year, this according to the New York State Gaming Commission.

So which stores made the most sales for the lottery in 2017 in upstate New York?

According to the New York Upstate website, almost half of the biggest vendors are Wegmans stores.

The top 5 include:

Wegmans on Chili Avenue. Wegmans on East Ridge Road Monroe Jiffy in Monroe. Wegmans on Mount Read Boulevard. Wegmans on Lyell Avenue.

The Wegmans on Lyell Avenue sold more than $4 million in tickets in 2017.
