The McDonald's was under renovation at the time, and there was minimal damage to the business. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Firefighters responded to a working fire at the Lake Avenue McDonalds on Sunday morning.

According to the Rochester Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to 788 Lake Avenue at 7:41 a.m. The McDonalds is near Maplewood Park off of Driving Park Avenue.

Upon arrival, they found smoke coming from the roof of the McDonald's. Everyone was out of the business by the time they arrived, and the fire was found to be coming from a fryer in the kitchen, which was quickly extinguished and under control by 7:56 a.m.
